Founded by José A. Herce in 2017 and based in Cañicosa (a district of the municipality of Matabuena, province of Segovia). The company's general purpose is to provide consulting services for the rural sector. We address the serious problem of depopulation, its causes and consequences, and promote actions and processes to boost it.
Its team of partners and professional associates has extensive technical and academic experience and has participated in various reports and studies, fieldwork, and communication and educational activities impacting rural areas.
SIR SL was born in rural areas and supports, through knowledge and action, the improvement and valorization of the endogenous resources it holds. With a multidisciplinary, technical, pedagogical, and innovative approach.
We want to demonstrate that it is possible to overcome the obstacles that prevent many families and businesses from staying or establishing themselves in villages. At the same time, we illustrate with coherent data and stories the many advantages that life in rural areas offers.
